MarvinAI Project

The MarvinAI project is an ongoing project to design, develop and deploy AI and machine learning capability to our customers.  The MarvinAI project was set-up to take tasks that would ordinarily be performed by a qualified human and use software to analyse and take an appropriate action. What MarvinAI seeks to achieve is apply AI and/or Machine learning to activities around documents and document management that are repetitive and potentially tedious.

Humans perform repetitive and tedious tasks badly, resulting in high volumes of errors and failures. Humans are bad at repetitive tasks not because we were design to fail, this is how we develop. In the world of industrial processes and management systems, such as Six Sigma where developed to reduce errors and failure rates. These management techniques had an enormous impact on productivity and are the ultimate conclusion of the industrial revolution. They were refined and applied to other industries such as insurance, finance, and telecoms. The basic principle relies on workers following processes that have been designed by a "professional", trained in the science of creating and improving processes. The worker is then trained to follow the process. If the process has been robustly designed, using proven tools and techniques that take into account internal and external factors, the number of errors are therefore reduced.  There is no denying the benefits and since Henry Ford started perfecting the assembly line technique for mass production, industry has continued to reap the benefits of repeatable processes.

However, we believe at Delladene that they have done little to boost creativity moreover they shifted many problems to customer satisfaction by introducing rigid inflexible process. In addition it is our belief that these, all be it, elegant processes drive large organisations to grow through efficiency as an easier source of building shareholder value than innovation. The ultimate conclusion of continued refinement and removal of waste is failure. Processes applied to human workers tend to turn creative, aspiring and highly qualified workers into very poor functioning imitations of computers, still prone to errors due to the repetitive nature of the tasks they are being asked to perform. Millennial or Gen Y workers are better qualified and have greater expectations and aspiration, than their previous generation. The MarvinAI project is designed to take these tasks that industry finds to fulfil with motivated human workers and applies artificial intelligence to the problem.

Working with academic institutions from around the world and our own team of creative minds, we are looking to solve boring and repetitive problems that free people allowing them to create, innovate and drive new possibilities. Our portfolio includes capabilities such as processing of forms that require specific action based on the content and automated document routing. Interpretation of audio inputs to listen and respond with actions that require extended concentration.
